Who We Are
Welcome to the home of Kansas's premier governmental finance professional organization. We are the governmental finance professionals that develop, execute, and audit budgets, expenses, and tax levies for Kansas cities, counties and for the State of Kansas. We are practicing professionals that can lend support and open opportunities for you. We utilize the professionals in the teaching profession for the conceptual vision that allows you to keep a broader perspective as you move through your day-to-day challenges. We especially encourage you to attend our "Professional Lecture Series" events, held on a monthly basis. Focused toward the second Thursday of each month, these give you the chance to listen to an informative speaker, enjoy lunch, and network with other governmental finance leaders, or leaders to be.
For 28 years, the Topeka Chapter has existed to provide educational opportunities for practicing professionals, support for community services, and scholarships for future leaders in governmental accounting. We invite you to attend our activities and see for yourself if we can be a home for your promotional aspirations. We offer the monthly Professional Lecture Series; a specialized set of speakers providing in-depth and timely information affecting governmental finance professionals. We offer special opportunities on a quarterly basis that take on topics such as national economic trends, ethics, or municipal economic development.
The Topeka Chapter of AGA celebrates its 27th anniverary this year.
