An important part of the AGA experience is the opportunity to recognize those that make constant improvements in our ability to provide government financial transparency to our taxpayers. Many times we forget as government professionals that we make up only one part of the effort to provide efficient and effective government. In fact, we operate within a partnership to make continuous improvement toward our goals of model citizenship and government. We rely heavily upon the private sector in the development of tools, training opportunities, particular skill sets and other features that are not readily available within government.
